Special Olympics/Para-Canoe

After a successful trial run during the summer of 2019. PCKC is launching its Inaugural first full season of Special Olympics Paddling. This program will run Tuesday afternoons from 4:30pm - 6:00pm. The program introduces Special Olympic athletes to the sport of paddling by providing fun and safe experiences on the water. We experience a variety of paddling disciplines and athletes have the opportunity to race at local, provincial, and national regattas!

Last year one of our paddlers raced in Ottawa at the Ontario Championships and came home with a GOLD medal in K1 200m. We welcome people of all ability levels to come down and experience paddling on Little Lake. We hope that this year we have paddlers represent Peterborough at the 2020 National Championships in Ottawa, Ontario.
